HOLIDAY CAMPS AT THE Y
The camp experience is a hard one to put into words. It’s about the bonding between people. It’s about spending the week in a different environment. It’s about final night campfire. It’s about experiencing an entirely new culture and world that you helped create. It is like no other experience in the world, and here at the YMCA we strive to help every camper leave having that experience. We have two great camp venues; Kaitoke Outdoor Education Centre in Upper Hutt and Camp Raukawa north of Whanganui
YMCA offers a tiered pricing system for our holiday camp programmes. This allows your family to choose the price that works best for you. Traditionally, we have only offered a heavily subsidised rate to ensure access to all. This rate does not cover ongoing development of camp, upkeep, or cover the full cost of running the camp programmes. We are continuing to offer this heavily subsidised rate and now include other options for your consideration.
Bookings are essential as we have limited spaces. All of our programmes are MSD accredited and operate under MSD Standards for OSCAR Programmes. For you, this means your child participates in a nationally approved programme, and should your family qualify, enables you to receive a Work and Income Subsidy.

When school is out, the Y is in! The Y offers a range of recreational based kids programming available throughout the year. Our programmes create fun, safe, fun-filled environments for kids to grow in body mind and spirit. Our values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility are paramount to the delivery of our programmes.
