My name is Kiera! I am the centre manager for the Out of School Care and Holiday Programmes running at Khandallah school. I have been with the Y since 2018.

Here at Khandallah, we have a great team of staff to ensure your children feel safe and have fun while in our care. We believe in the four foundations of the Y; Caring, Respect, Honesty and Responsibility, and endeavour to follow these in our roles here at Khandallah.

Each school day we provide a yummy afternoon tea alongside plenty of fruit, so your children can build up their energy to participate in our awesome after-care activities. We advocate for fitness and healthy choices here to try and get your kids moving each day; come and check out our cool sports games, dance days and more recently a bit of yoga to cool down. For the creative minds, you’ll find we run a craft, baking or science activity each day to engage the children and grow their passion for learning. Every child has the option to participate, and if they’d rather have a quiet day, we have plenty of chill areas for the kids to hang out, read a book, colour in or play some bard games, the choice is theirs.

During the holidays, we provide full-day care with a theme for each day, alongside plenty of fitness, craft and indoor/outdoor play. We have “chill time” in the mornings with games and free play. We then spend the middle block of the day participating in the theme, and some days we leave the centre for fantastic excursions -whether it be laser force, swimming or an Awesome Bounce day! Towards the afternoon we run a session similar to out after school care, with a focus on being active, creative and developing life skills. We’re sure your children will love it!
